My name is Ritchie, I am 47, a husband, and a father of two girls. I am a caring, generous person and I will go out of my way to help others. I love spending time with my family, exploring the countryside and visiting new places, I love martial arts and train in the Korean art of Tang Soo Do, I am hoping to get my black belt in 2025. I also enjoy cycling and generally keeping fit.
I have a Master’s Degree in Autism, a BTEC Level 4 in PBS (Positive Behaviour Support), a Bachelors Degree in Media Communications and I am currently completing a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. I have delivered training in Autism, PBS and Managing Challenging Behaviours to staff teams and also Gwent Police and I am also a licenced PROACT-SCIPr-UK ® Trainer (a recognised system of positive approaches to behaviour management which encourages the use of proactive responses and also some physical interventions).
I have grown up around people with additional needs throughout my life and this inspired me to work in this field which I have done for over twenty-five years.
My name is Alun and my interests include art, poetry, charity work, exercise and meditation and last but not least, human and animal welfare, and research around how to make the world a better place for everybody.

I am a registered Learning Disability Nurse. I spent 32 years working for the NHS and in a variety of roles. Consequently, I have a wide range of experience working with people who not only have a Learning Disability, but who also have additional and complex needs such as challenging behaviour, sensory deficits, autism, multiple physical difficulties and also those subject to detention under the mental health act.

I have significant experience with court work, including Court of Protection and those who are subject to Safeguarding measures and am comfortable liaising with members of the legal profession. A big part of my career has also involved constructing and facilitating teambuilding workshops, leading multidisciplinary meetings, arbitrating for services where there is difference of professional opinion and liaison work with a variety of Inspection Departments both within Wales and in other parts of the country.

My interests include humanistic and values-based methods of training and intervention, staff motivation, addressing deficits in service delivery through a values-based model of education and alternate ways to traditional methods of staff management and team building.
